Edward Shannon Burke, 43, was arrested on charges related to shooting his wife and her dog after deputies were called to his Altamonte Springs-area home late Thursday.
A 40-caliber bullet passed through the leg of Charlotte, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel, and grazed the right side of Catherine Burke's head, authorities said.
His wife, who was on the bed at the time, was treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center and released
